God Told Me to Write a Book And the Top 5 Reasons You Have Not

[ad_1]

So, you may or may not know that I am an author, book writing strategist and a publisher. Truthfully, you may not even care, and that is okay. It doesn’t matter that you don’t care, what matters is that I DO care. You see, you have been sitting on the idea of writing a book for a very long time. You have been thinking about it, talking about it and praying about it, waiting for God to give you Divine clearance.

I remember all too well, while in the process of writing my book, I kept putting on the back burner, saying that I was waiting on God. However, at the same time, I was convinced that God really wanted me to write this book. What happened? I was still “waiting on God.” Well, here is the reality, God was still waiting on me and He is waiting on YOU! If, he is has already given you the vision, He has already made the provision.

So, let’s get to the root of this issue with you not writing your book… Here are the 5 Top Reasons why your book is still an ideal sitting on the shelf in your head. That’s right, it’s all in your head…

1. FEAR

OK, let’s address the elephant in the room. Everyone experiences fear when embarking on something new. It is normal, however, it is not real. Your fear is imagined. You are worrying about things you have no control over, not to mention, they have yet to occur. Many of you know fear to be false evidence appearing real, and that is true.

However, there is another side of fear—Finding Excuses to Avoid Reality. HA! See, you, not them, refuse to take a risk. You refuse to do something different, other than think about it and talk about. You refuse to take control over your thoughts and actually do something. YOU are avoiding the reality that you need to start writing that book. The book is not going to write itself and I’m sorry to break this to you, but neither is God.

2. FINANCES

If I could count how many times I have actually used money as an excuse for not doing something, I would be rich and I bet you would be to. NEWSFLASH, it doesn’t cost anything to write. Have you ever thought that if actually start writing your book, it would be published and you will earn some money. Yeah, I know, but it costs to publish a book, Coach Jaime. YES, but it will be even more costly, if you DON’T do what you claim God has told you to do. OK, moving on…

3. NOT A PRIORITY

Apparently writing your book is not that important to you, because if it were, you would be writing. Remember, you said that God wants you to write a book. You said, He gave you the vision. You said, it was something that you wanted to do. You said… BUT, NOTHING! Instead, you have done everything else, but start writing your book. Get my point? Which leads me to this…

4. DISTRACTIONS

This is a BIG one and has to do with the previous three reasons. You allow yourself to become distracted by things that are not that important. You allow yourself to become distracted by people who may be important in your life, but you are afraid to tell them NO. You are hanging out with your friends, on social media all day posting selfies and looking for inspiration to write that book. Inspiration without activation is just plain procrastination. But, remember, you said God wanted you to write that book.

5. LACK OF CLARITY

So, maybe God has given you the vision to write that book, but you don’t know where to start or what to write. With so much information out there and so many authors with similar ideas, you are struggling with how to stand out in the crowd. It’s frustrating and I understand. However, on the flip side, that is all the more reason why you should write that book.

Your story IS YOUR story. It doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing or has done. God did not give you the vision without provision. You have what it takes on the inside of you, you just need help getting it out. I can help you. I have been there and I know what it’s like. I overcame the challenges, the fears, removed the distractions and moved forward with what God told me to do.
